I heard that you're settled down, That you found a girl and you're married now, I heard that your dreams came true, Guess she gave you things I didn't give to you, Old friend, why are you so shy? Ain't like you to hold back or hide from the light,
I hate to turn up out of the blue uninvited, But I couldn't stay away, I couldn't fight it, I had hoped you'd see my face, And that you'd be reminded that for me it isn't over,
Nevermind, I'll find someone like you, I wish nothing but the best for you, too, Don't forget me, I beg, I remember you said, "Sometimes it lasts in love, But sometimes it hurts instead," Sometimes it lasts in love, But sometimes it hurts instead, yeah,
You know how the time flies, Only yesterday was the time of our lives, We were born and raised in a summer haze, Bound by the surprise of our glory days,
I hate to turn up out of the blue uninvited, But I couldn't stay away, I couldn't fight it, I had hoped you'd see my face, And that you'd be reminded that for me it isn't over,
Nevermind, I'll find someone like you, I wish nothing but the best for you, too, Don't forget me, I beg, I remember you said, "Sometimes it lasts in love, But sometimes it hurts instead,"
Nothing compares, No worries or cares, Regrets and mistakes, they're memories made, Who would have known how bittersweet this would taste?
Nevermind, I'll find someone like you, I wish nothing but the best for you, Don't forget me, I beg, I remember you said, "Sometimes it lasts in love, But sometimes it hurts instead,"
Nevermind, I'll find someone like you, I wish nothing but the best for you, too, Don't forget me, I beg, I remember you said, "Sometimes it lasts in love, But sometimes it hurts instead," Sometimes it lasts in love, But sometimes it hurts instead.
First and foremost, greetings to all readers and a Happy New Year to you and your love ones. What a journey in 2010. If you're keeping up to my postings, well, I only did once in May which was a pretty random write up. And the one before was just a day before ushering 2010.
How time flies. I think it has been a great year for me. I've finally got my Bachelor degree and fulfilled my wish to graduate in Perth in September. In June, I decided to go back to ANA to assume the previous position from where I left in May 2009. It will never be about money but rather the opportunities given. With the upcoming joint venture with United and Continental, 2011 seems to be an exciting and busy year ahead.
Just yesterday, I saw one of my Japanese colleague who decided to call it quit after 1 year and 9 months with us. Uzaki-san decided to fly with Jetstar as a cabin crew. I'm delighted that she's chasing after her dream, however, the thoughts are slowly creeping into me once again. I thought I have shook it off but I didn't. I know and I'm quite certain that without donning that SQ uniform, my mind without be at ease or perhaps, I won't be able to move on. It's not exactly a wise or perfect career choice but it's all about keeping my dream alive and not having any regrets.
Now 2011 is here, I'm penning down this year's resolution:
1. Promotion - I guess patience is really the key. I'm trying my best to perfect myself in the current position and scope that I'm in. After the appraisal in August, I would have known if my effort pays off. If it takes another year or another 2 more years to move up Japanese corporations hierachy, I will call it quit. Or if my partner is promoted on par with me (for his well-known carelessness and shit work), I would do the same as well.
2. I wish for good health. Nothing beats having good health, both mentally and physically. Same for my family and friends. Please take good care of yourselves. We're withering fast each year.
3. Europe and Korea - I'm making plans to visit this 2 places. I'm so tempted to make the most out of my staff benefits and join Insight Vacation alone for the Europe trip. Plans to Korea with BFFs seems to be a lil' unstable with possibility of Nes extended stay in US.
4. Flying career - Will I realise it in 2011? or 2012? I will definitely give it another go.
5. Keeping fit - Continue to work hard with my gym routine and gain weight. I'm seeing results already and I know I need to be consistent, pump harder for better results. :)
6. Building wealth.
7. Personal development through reading (increase in the number of non-fictional titles and write up), attending classes and making the most out of each weekend.
Let's be realistic, 7 resolutions would do just fine.
Once again, Happy New Year to everyone! Not sure when I'll be writing again (maybe last day of 2011 or 1st day of 2012?) Anyway, have a splendid year ahead!
Ok, it's has been months since I last updated and there are times when I'm thinking of forsaking this blog. But it contains some of the best entries that depict the best days of my life.
I'm finally done with my University studies and I'm sure looking forward to my convocation in Perth this September. Well, doing it on a part-time basis maybe a tad different. You don't get to really experience campus life coz the hours spent is just too short to even mention that word "reminisce". This explains why I'm so hard up for the trip to get a chance to see my campus.
Just the other day, I was back to my alma mater - Temasek Polytechnic - for lunch with my poly pals. Well, we're mostly unemployed and vincent decided to be an entrepreneur after working as an employee for 2 years, to venture into some B2C web business. Nostalgic. The evironment, the food, the lecture halls is all unchanged. It maybe a good 5 years since we graduated, but everything still feel so close to my heart. Once in a while, it's really good to be back to campus and strangely, I can't stop thinking that I am already 25 and those young lads just makes me jealous.
This morning, I happened to chance upon this ANA "Early Morning" commercial on ANA Facebook Group. I played the video for 3 times and I'm feeling Japan again. I can't explain this emotional attachment I have to this country. The images of the shophouses, the sound of the densha that were once so familiar. I am on the verge of securing a job at this moment, have plan some to-do once my income is stabilise. And I wanna make the attempt to go back to Japan at least once a year. Oh well, wish me luck for I am embarking and stepping into the working world once again. And to everyone out there, stay healthy, happy and good luck in whatever you're doing.
:) A B&W past 2009 & a coloured fun-filled 2010! (:
I'm not doing anything special during this new year eve. I think the most vivid memory that I have when it comes to countdown is definitely with Jenelle & Cien, probably like 4 to 5 years ago. It was pouring that day but did not dampen our spirit of heading to Padang to catch a glimpse of the fireworks that year. And when the show started, I could remember our faces were beaming with hope, joy and excitement. I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who have been in my life or came into my life. Thank you for making 2009 such a bearable year.
As you can see 2010 is hopeful for many. Here, an hour before 2010, I shall pen down my 5 simple resolution for this brand new year:
1) My Bachelor Degree - 4 more months before completing my studies! I hope everything will be smooth sailing for me!
2) My dream - I hope I'll received the XXX notification for interview in January and of course be able to break a leg and receive good news in April. Until then, I'm keeping my lips sealed!
3) Meanwhile, I'm hoping for a better career opportunity. Money money, many many!
4) Healthy - Yes! I definitely want to be sick-free. I'm going to continue with my weekly gym routine, weekly canoe training perhaps giving dragonboat a try in time to come. I shall continue to work towards a better build and perhaps Elvin Ng's body!
5) I wish everyone - friends and family - a great 2010, with a great career, health, relationship, sex, finance and be HAPPY each and every single day!
I am Tristan. This is where I park my thoughts and give my 2cents worth. Yes,I live in Singapore but yearn for a change, badly. Someday I wish I could blend into the Japanese Culture and get a chance to live there.
Love reading travelogues and see the world from a different vantage point. And I do appreciate simple things in life. A nicely brewed coffee & tiramisu on a weekday afternoon is always the right thing to do. Sit back, relax & watch the world goes by.
Horror films, crampy places and carrots are big "No No" for me. And if you haven't follow me on Twitter, what are you waiting for?
